Yim Ling Siu : Teaching

Since I joined the School in December 1999, I have been continuously providing teaching support for the School at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Currently, I am responsible for teaching in the subject areas of environmental risk management, environmental risk decision-making and risk communication.

Over the past 6 years or so, I had been teaching the following modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Environmental Informatics
  • C&IT and Environmental Management
  • Environmental Information Systems
  • The Information Society and Environmental Sustainability
  • Environmental risk management: Science & Perception
  • Environmental risk management: Decision-making & Communication
  • CIT and Environmental Information & Management

Besides teaching & research, during the course of my employment at the School, I have been involving in designing teaching programmes such as BA Environment & Risk Communication, BA Environment & Transport Planning, and BA Environment & Sustainable Development.

I am the programme manager of BA Environment and Transport Planning, and BA Environment and Transport Planning (International).

I also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students (including PhD students) at the School.
