I provide supervision for undergraduate and postgraduate students (including PhD students) at the School. My subject areas are:

• Environmental management (e.g. waste management; water management)
• Environmental risk policy and decision-making (e.g. issues on cryptosporidium, genetically modification and nano-technology)
• Environmental risk perception & communication (e.g. theories, models and applications)
• Risk theory (e.g. new risk conception, approach and modelling framework)
• Environmental risks and sustainable development (e.g. indicators and evaluation frameworks)
• Communication & Information Technology and environmental management (e.g. web-based, online environmental information systems)
• Environmental informatics & modelling (e.g. energy demand models, demography and on-road transport demand models, water models)
• Quality audit for Science (e.g. qualitative research into trust and confidence of Science in environmental policy & decision-making)
