SLIMCAT 3D Model SLIMCAT

Model Results for Winter 2004/2005

This page contains preliminary results from simulations with the SLIMCAT 3D model chemical transport model. The near real time model run is forced by ECMWF T42L60 operational analyses with a horizontal resolution of 2.8 x 2.8 degrees and 24 levels from the surface to ~50 Km.

This work support is part of the European Union SCOUT-O3 Integerated Project (CTM Activity).

Preliminary Model Results

This page contains recent, preliminary SLIMCAT model results for winter 2004/2005. Contact Dr. Martyn Chipperfield for more details and requests.

Here is an animation of O3 loss (left) and ClOx (right) at ~460K during winter 2004/05.

Here is comparison of time series of averaged chemical ozone loss from 1994/95 to 2004/2005 Arctic winters/springs.
