Model Results for Winter 2002/2003
This page contains preliminary results from simulations with the
SLIMCAT 3D model
.
Coupled DLAPSE-SLIMCAT microphysical model results are available
on the
DLAPSE page.
The near real time model run forced by ECMWF T42L60 analyses
with a horizontal resolution of 2.8 x 2.8 degrees.
Here
is an animation of ClOx and O3 loss at 475K during winter 2002/03.
SLIMCAT forced by UKMO and ECMWF also successful reproduce the evolution of the Antarctic
ozone hole during the sudden warming event of 2002. The animated movie show

This work supports The European Union VINTERSOL campaign and is part of
the QUILT, QUOBI and TOPOZ III projects.
